This year’s strategic planning (Stratplan) committee did just that as it embraced the theme “From Vision to Execution…Always Above the Competition” last March 11 to 14 at Tagaytay City.
The Stratplan Committee had a series of pre-planning sessions to gather relevant information on factors which will have great impact on how ANR positions itself in the industry for the upcoming months.
The 4-day planning session resulted to action plans geared towards achieving Our Vision of being the preferred provider and likewise being true to Our Mission for our Members, Clients, and the Community. These vision once executed will definitely propel ANR to be above its competition.
ANR unlocks another milestone as it celebrated an office blessing in Cagayan de Oro last April 26, 2016 spearheaded by Jeremy Racines and Deci Jean Valle. Present on the said event were Vice Chairman, Mr. Roland Enric Dela Cruz; Chairman, Mr. Noel A. De Leon; General Manager for VisMin Operation, Mr. Ernani T. Draculan; and ANR Gensan HR/Admin Head, Ms. Mary Ann S. Bulnes.
Invited guests from our roster of clients include those from Limketkai and Rustans, while representatives from Monsanto, Mr. Melanio Jurolan and Mr. Bryan Ordanza, graced the event. Father Dudz Panilagao, a known priest from St. Augustine Cathedral officiated the ceremony by blessing each room with Holy Water and Grace. After the prayer, everyone enjoyed the sumptuous food of KDA, one of the top caterers in Cagayan De Oro City.
On April 27, 2016, ANR HO Representatives travelled to Davao City for its office blessing. Account Officers, Dionesio Galvez and Celine Salvaloza facilitated the preparation that day. ANR executives were excitedly enjoined for this occasion by invited client representatives, other staffs from Sta. Cruz, Davao Del Sur, and even deployed ANR members from Wellmade. Father Felix Calixto, a priest from San Pedro Church, officiated the blessing with serenity.
The occasion was indeed a religious ritual intended to bless and protect ANR offices with abundant grace. This also served as a special opportunity to celebrate momentous events like these with ANR officials and its business partners.
The Client Relations Group headed by Irma Alo, Vice President for Operations in the endeavor to strengthen the account management team has introduced to clients the new Industry Heads. The Key Account Managers/Industry Heads shall strive to build lasting business relationship with ANR’s stakeholders. This include ensuring that all service level agreement are met with the business partners, and that members are fully satisfied.
ANR Cebu branch has transferred to a bigger and better office location at the Ground Floor of Rivergate Commercial Complex, Mango Ave., Cebu City last June 28, 2016.
The new office opens its door to more members, clients, and applicants. With its various facilities which includes two separate rooms for training and recruitment the branch will definitely be able to cater to the needs of members and clients alike.
The Board of Directors; Arnel Racadio, President & General Manager; Noel A. De Leon, Chairman; and Roland Dela Cruz, Vice-Chairman graced the office blessing held last July 15, 2016.
ANR is privileged to engage new partnerships with the following clients this 2016.
In Luzon, an Occupational First Aid and Basic Life Support / Automated External Defibrillators (BLS/AED) Training was conducted by Phil. Red Cross at Head Office, Makati City last April 21 to 22, 2016 to equip 15 members, a combination of staff and selected deployed members from Shopwise and Li & Fung, with the knowledge on first aid treatment.
On a similar note, staffs in General Santos also joined Philippine Red Cross GenSan Chapter’s seminar on Basic Life Support and First Aid Treatment last June 11-12, 2016, a twoday activity held at Red Cross Conference Room, City Hall Compound, General Santos City.
These two separate 2-day training equipped the participants with lectures on different BLS-CPR technologies and first aid. The training also allowed the participants to have a hands-on practice on the different bandage and lifting treatment which may be used to aid injured victims. At the end of the program and its graded tests, ANR staff became more conscious and responsive citizens at the same time.
It was indeed a privilege to have these Red Cross volunteers, Mr. Ian James Caliwihan (GenSan), Ms. Jonalyn Barrios (NCR), Ms. Mary Ann Ocampo (NCR), and Mr. Beliardo Anciro (NCR) as instructors for these successful First Aid Trainings.
SOURCING INITIATIVES - In Cebu, various sourcing activities were facilitated during the first half of 2016. Last March 22, 2016 ANR sponsored a school-based mini job fair at Sibonga Community College. The whole day activity was attended by fresh graduates of SCC and was well supported by the school faculty especially it’s Assistant Director, Antonio L. Camomot. On a separate occasion, ANR Cebu Team had a chance to meet the newly-appointed Western Visayas PESO Regional Director, Francisco T. Heler Jr. and discussed with him ANR’s role in providing economic opportunities to the community.
ANR also participated in most of the government initiated job fairs in different regions all over the Philippines like that of Cebu Technical University and other Public Employment Service Office (PESO) / Department of Manpower Development and Placement (DMDP) events. In Manila, ANR joined in other organized job fairs located in high traffic areas such as malls in Mandaluyong and Pasig. These initiatives and activities generate great leads for new potential members.
LEARNING SESSIONS were given to members deployed in various client assignments. In Cebu, some of the programs facilitated were Pag-ibig Loyalty Card Orientation and Registration, Basic Occupational Safety and Health Seminar at Angels Burger Cebu and Bacolod, 5S Training at Angels Burger and Sunpride Foods, Inc., and Basic Resto Management at KR
Bacolod. These programs increased the skill set and knowledge of deployed members, making them more effective on the job.
GENERAL MEETINGS - One of the ways to strengthen ANR’s relationship and reliability with its members is by revisiting them and refreshing them with ANR’s concept and rules. Last July 30, 2016 a General Meeting was conducted for the members of Asia Brewery Inc. in Laguna. Jinky Velasco and Mara Morfe spearheaded the discussion on various coop and client update. Likewise on July 9, 2016 members deployed in Nutri Asia Inc. were gathered. Amongst the topics discussed were reiteration of safety policies and practices, implementation of biometrics, and issues on Starcare HMO. The new minimum wage for CALABARZON area effective July 1, 2016 was also highlighted during the two General Meetings.
In Visayas and Mindanao, ANR Cebu facilitated a re-orientation with members deployed in RSCI, Army Navy Iloilo, Sunpride, Limketkai, and KR Iloilo. On a similar note, ANR Gensan did a reorientation with members on ATM application, proper filling-out of the 201 application forms, loans, and other matters in NEHDFADI, Malandag, Sarangani Province’s banana plantation last June 5, 2016 and in NEH-RPBH successively.
In NCR, various re-orientation were also conducted to discuss coop updates for members deployed in Shopwise, Rustans, Wellcome, and Halal Guys.
Part of the 2016 Strategic Planning Action Plans is to increase the level of competencies of members so that ANR can live up to it’s Mission of improving the socio economic well-being of the members and enabling clients achieve greater efficiency and productivity. The establishment of the Learning and Organizational Development Department sees to it that members are honed with deeper understanding of ANR processes, gains new and updated ideas, and that members are presented with avenues that they can fully engage with.
Training Roadmap serves as guide for the staff on the training programs lined-up for them. On the first half of the year, Account Officers and Members Services Staffs completed a 4-day In-Depth Seminar with SSS. A BOSH training was attended by the Industry Head, Account Officer for Manufacturing. Another training was ticked-off on the roadmap for Luzon-based staffs after concluding the 5 batches of hands-on-training for Excel. The Excel Workshop is targeted to run in Cebu and General Santos by the 4th quarter of 2016.
Other programs that paved its way this year were a number of Wellness Programs and canned training programs on Customer Service and Phone Ethics.

In the era of superhero movies such as Deadpool, Batman vs Superman, Avengers and X-Men, ANR members became heroes themselves as they give back to the community thru a bloodletting activity in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross. The said activity was conducted in ANR Unlimited’s Head Office in Makati City wherein the Training Room’s chairs were replaced by cot beds and pillows to provide comfort for the members as experienced Red Cross Volunteers performs the blood extraction to them last May 24, 2016.
The National Blood Services of the Philippine Red Cross awarded ANR with a Certificate of Donation for the diligent participation in the promotion of voluntary non-remunerated blood donation among staffs where an approximate 4,050cc of blood was collected. Indeed, giving blood will save civilian lives including ANR members who may need access to the blood bank, and this certainly makes us a hero in our own way. ANR’s
On the 1st quarter of 2016, ANR launched the “Shoot that Pet” Campaign to all ANR Offices. With this campaign, ANR endeavors to actively engage members into practicing on waste segregation to lessen the coop’s wastages and contribute in addressing an environmental concern.
ANR Cebu modified the campaign to “Ruby in the Rubbish” wherein other recyclable items such as newspaper, old books, tin cans, etc. are collected, piled, and sold.
Proceeds are added to fund ANR’s social responsibility programs.
Effective June 1, 2016 ANR offices in Luzon and Cebu has implemented a new work schedule that allows staff to have a better work-life balance. The change provides staff a compressed work week to be able to enjoy a Saturday off with their family. Offices are open from 7am to 5pm, this also allows stakeholders to transact, inquire, and validate their concerns with ease as office personnel becomes available earlier and longer than what is currently and usually being practiced.
